GELP is a strategically located 2,500-acre park that capitalizes on local transportation assets, with access to Interstate 40, State Highway 491 and 602 and BNSF’s Southern Transcon Line. A 365-acre parcel of the property has received certification as part of BNSF Railway’s site certification program. The certification ensures a site is ready for rapid acquisition and development through comprehensive evaluation of existing and project infrastructure, environmental and geotechnical standards, utility evaluation, and site availability.
The $6.5 million (USD) Phase I was completed in 2017, and Phase II infrastructure is in place, which will provide the ability for rapid expansion. GELP serves as a logistics hub for the area, and the location is accessible to a capable and available workforce in the Greater Gallup region. It is permitted for heavy industrial development, making it an ideal location for:
- Material storage
- Trans loading
- Rail car storage
- Trucking operations
- Cart maintenance and repair
