GELP is a strategically located 2,500-acre park that capitalizes on local transportation assets, with access to Interstate 40, State Highway 491 and 602 and BNSF’s Southern Transcon Line. A 365-acre parcel of the property has received certification as part of BNSF Railway’s site certification program. The certification ensures a site is ready for rapid acquisition and development through comprehensive evaluation of existing and project infrastructure, environmental and geotechnical standards, utility evaluation, and site availability.

The $6.5 million (USD) Phase I was completed in 2017, and Phase II infrastructure is in place, which will provide the ability for rapid expansion. The State of New Mexico has recognized the importance of this logistics asset and has invested $23 million in the development of a four-lane, heavy-truck capable highway linking the energy park to US Hwy 491.

GELP serves as a logistics hub for the area, and the location is accessible to a capable and available workforce in the Greater Gallup region. It is permitted for heavy industrial development, making it an ideal location for:

  • Material storage
  • Trans loading
  • Rail car storage
  • Manufacturing
  • Logistics and distribution
  • Trucking operations
  • Cart maintenance and repair
  • Potential inland port for supply chain
